Digging involves shoveling up mounds of earth for a variety of possible loot, such as Ingots, Ores and Coins. You can even dig rocks and flint up (Even though you can just use your hands)

Players must obtain a Shovel before continuing. Players can either find rusty shovels around the map in locations such as the Battlefield and the way to the Mountain Pass or craft them. Players can dig anywhere however nothing will occur unless a mound of earth is dug. Mounds of earth can be found anywhere around the overworld, as well as in the Mines. Geodes also require a shovel to collect, as they are found half-buried in the ground. While the burrow holes that Wyrms create are similar to a digable mound, they will not yield any items if excavated.
