Flint is a common resource with a black, rough appearance.

Flint can be use to create sparks by hitting it against another Flint , Stone or Ore. This spark can be used to light torches, lanterns and Fire.
Flint are also used to craft Primitive Weapons and Tools by attaching them in various ways to the ends of sticks. This is the earliest available equipment to craft, and are commonly the first tools and weapons available to players aside from Rusty Tools, which can be found lying on the ground in various areas among the map.

Flint can be found:
- In loot containers on a Cave Structure.
- In the Mountain Pass from destroyed crates and pots.
- By Mining any type of Ore Vein.
- Inside Chests.
- By the sandstone bridge.
- Dropped from Turabadas.
